Standard Downlight Fittings

Downlight fittings are undoubtedly one of the most common types of modern domestic light fitting thanks to their low profile and simple, clean appearance when installed. We offer a range of Standard Downlights, including both closed and open-backed fittings.

Open-backed fittings are the most basic type, offering a simple, no-frills design that leaves the lamp connections exposed in the ceiling cavity. Closed-back, Fire Proof Downlights are designed to seal in the event of a fire to attempt to stem the transfer of smokes and flames through the ceiling's light fittings. For new-builds, Building Regulations may require Fire Proof Fittings.
